Warm Friday and Saturday but big changes for SundayMarch 13th, 2014 at 6:39 pm by Robb Ellis under Weather
Another nice Spring-like warm up is on the way, but a potential wintry system complicates the weekend forecast.
Brisk south winds will keep temperatures very mild overnight. In fact, some locations could see the temperatures rise overnight. Expect lows around 35 degrees, but some locations may continue warming through daybreak.
Lots of sunshine will make for a beautiful day. Temperatures will reach the upper 50s to near 60. A few clouds may roll through during the afternoon. Lows will remain mild, in the mid 30s.
Another nice day is expected with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 50s. Clouds will increase late Saturday evening as the next system approaches.
Lots of questions surround a system arriving on Sunday. Colder temperatures will be in place with highs in the 30s, but will enough moisture be around for a wintry mix? That’s just one of the questions we have regarding this system. Most models keep the system in southern Indiana, but some light precipitation (in the form of wintry mix) could reach Indianapolis. For now a light wintry mix is expected, especially south of Indianapolis where moisture may be more available. However, temperatures may be warm enough for just rain.
Another warm up after the cold air settles in. Plenty of sunshine is expected for Monday and Tuesday with temperatures warming back into the 50s.
