Warm and Windy This FridayMarch 14th, 2014 at 6:20 am by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
We have a milder start to the day with temps in the 30s and lower 40s. This afternoon we warm into the upper 50s and lower 60s with mostly sunny skies to partly cloudy skies.
If you are heading to Banker’s Life Fieldhouse for the Big Ten Tourney, hang on to your team hats. High wind gusts will be a nuisance all afternoon. At least it will be warm and mostly sunny.
The wind is noticeable this morning, from the south, southwest between 10 and 20 mph in most places. This afternoon the sustained wind speed will reach between 15 and 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
Tonight’s lows dip into the upper 20s and lower 30s with a chance for an isolated rain shower as a cold front moves through. Saturday will be the better of the two days this weekend with sunshine and highs in the lower 50s. Sunday we have a system that will pass through the southern half of the state. We will get some rain first, then snow by Sunday evening. Accumulation will be around an inch in extreme southern Indiana…it will be tough for it to stick since temps will be so warm prior to that system moving through. Sunday’s highs turn cold in the lower 30s. St. Patrick’s Day on Monday is sunny with highs in the lower 40s.
