Mild Today, Chilly Sunday (Mix Chance?)March 15th, 2014 at 7:05 am by Ken Brewer under Weather
TODAY: Weather should be quiet and temperatures should be pretty close to normal, even a bit above normal. Highs will make the low to mid 50s with a mix of sun and clouds.
THIS EVENING: Colder air will continue to slip into the state this evening, so it will be colder than last evening. Temps will fall into the 30s by 10pm.
OVERNIGHT: Lows will drop into the 20s here in central Indiana, and lower 30s in southern Indiana.
SUNDAY: A developing storm system to our SW will come to the Ohio River Valley. The latest model run has colder, drier air surging into the state, and keeping the bulk of the storm system south of the viewing area. However, some moisture could creep north into southern parts of our area, so we will keep a chance of a light wintry mix for areas south of Indianapolis. With the warm ground in place, any accumulation chances should be well under an inch, if any.
8-DAY FORECAST: Milder air will build in over the next several days. St. Patrick’s Day will be dry, but cool, with highs in the low to mid 40s. Tuesday will climb into the 50s. A weak weather system will slide in mid-week, then it will get milder late week, before cooler air returns next weekend.
