Much Colder Today, Light Mix South?

March 16th, 2014 at 7:52 am by under Weather

TODAY: Colder air will move into the state.  A storm system to our south will try to throw moisture into southern parts of our area.  That could lead to a wintry mix in areas south of Bloomington and Columbus.  With warm ground and temps above freezing, most of any wintry precip should melt, but there could be some slick spots.  Most of our area will be dry, but cold, with temps in the 30s.

THIS EVENING:  Temps will be in the 20s and everybody should see dry weather.

OVERNIGHT:  Lows will drop into the teens as the core of the cold air will be in place for the night.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY MONDAY: The core of the colder air will move away from central Indiana, so milder air will build back in, however, it will still be below normal, with highs in the low to mid 40s.

8-DAY FORECAST…MILDER WORKWEEK! Temps will climb into the 50s through Thursday, then into the 60s for Friday, before a bit cooler air arrives next weekend.  There are some rain chances Wednesday, then again late Friday.
