Rain Tapers Off, Wind Picks UpApril 4th, 2014 at 5:45 am by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
The rain is moving out of central Indiana, a few sprinkles remain in the forecast through this afternoon. It will be a cloudy day too. Rainfall totals are impressive…we’ve had 2″ to over 4″ of rain in southern Indiana. Areal flood warnings continue through this morning.
The wind picks up today as the center of low pressure moves northeast, just to the north of us. A wind advisory is in effect for most of Indiana 11am to 8pm tonight. Winds could gust up to 45 mph.
Temperatures are in the 40s to the north, and 50s elsewhere. Today’s highs won’t get much warmer but we do reach the low to mid 50s. Then temps fall later this afternoon. Tonight’s lows dip into the upper 20s and lower 30s under clearing skies.
The weekend will be nice and dry both days. Temps hover around the average high of 59 degrees both days. Rain chances return for Monday and Tuesday of next week.
