A Cooler DayApril 23rd, 2014 at 4:59 am by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Temperatures are starting off way cooler than this time yesterday. We are running 18º colder in Indianapolis with a temp of 39º. Other area temps are in the 30s and lower 40s with wind chill temps in the lower 30s. Some patchy frost isn’t out of the question in the northern half of the viewing area this daybreak. While we are past the average last freeze date…beware that the latest freeze date for Indy is May 17th.
Temperatures today remain on the cooler side and below the average high temp of 66º. Highs today top off in the 50s and lower 60s under full sunshine. Tonight’s lows dip into the 40s for most places.
Thursday we warm up to the upper 60s and lower 70s with partly cloudy skies. A chance for rain moves in late Thursday night into daybreak Friday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely. Rain totals look to be between 0.5″ and 1.0″ of rain by daybreak Friday. Dry weather returns for Friday afternoon and Saturday. Temps will be in the lower 70s Friday and then in the mid 60s on Saturday. A daily chance for rain will be in the forecast starting Sunday.
