Warmer Today, Storm Chances Late TonightApril 24th, 2014 at 5:27 am by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
We are already starting off way warmer compared to this time yesterday. A warm front has lifted to the northeast and that brought us a few sprinkles and the warmer temps. Today will be dry and breezy with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
Scattered thunderstorms move in late tonight and into early Friday. We don’t expect severe storms, but an isolated strong storm is possible. Any storm that develops tonight could produce heavy rain, gusty wind, small hail and lightning. Overall rainfall potential looks to be around 0.5″ of rain by Friday morning. Overnight lows will be in the mid 50s.
The rain moves out by daybreak Friday and the rest of our weekend will stay dry. Highs on Friday will be in the upper 60s…Saturday and Sunday we will enjoy highs in the low to mid 70s. An active weather pattern takes over next week with repeated chances for rain.
