Mild Today, Scattered PM Thundershowers?April 27th, 2014 at 6:43 am by Ken Brewer under Weather
TODAY: A warm front will lift back north through the state today. So the cool numbers from this morning will give way to another day in the 70s. It won’t be quite as warm as yesterday, but should still make the 70s. There may be a stray thundershower by late afternoon.
THIS EVENING: As the atmosphere becomes a little bit more unstable, the chance for pop-up thundershowers will gradually go up, so take an umbrella if you are going to be out this evening just in case.
OVERNIGHT…SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS: There will be areas of showers and thunderstorms overnight. Some may contain some small hail, but most storms should stay below severe limits.
MONDAY, CHANCES FOR SEVERE WEATHER: As the core of what will be a persistent storm system moves closer, the chances of thunderstorms will go up, and some of thunderstorms could be strong or severe. Damaging Wind, Hail and Isolated Tornadoes are all threats for Monday.
8-DAY FORECAST…LOTS OF RAIN CHANCES! Chances of rain and thunderstorms will linger every day through next Monday! A cold pool of air will drop highs into the 50s Thursday and Friday. There may be a chance of showers next Saturday for the Mini, but it may hold off until the afternoon. Stay tuned.
