Pop-up storms likely this afternoon.May 9th, 2014 at 2:32 pm by Robb Ellis under Weather
Scattered showers and storms will continue this afternoon. A few (especially in southwestern Indiana) could be strong to severe.
Temperatures are in the upper 60s to low 70s this afternoon, and some sunshine may be possible in between showers and storms. This will help to nudge temps up slightly, and could lead to a few stronger storms later this evening.
Winds remain out of the southwest, and some gusts to 30 mph are possible.
A slight risk of severe storms continues for the southwestern part of the state. Damaging winds are the greatest threat, though that chance remains marginal. An isolated tornado or hail can’t be ruled out completely.
