The threat for thunderstorms continue into this evening with the slight risk of severe storms through the overnight hours. Additional thunderstorm chances will remain in the forecast for the weekend and into early next week.
Tonight:Scattered thunderstorms may roll east out of southern Illinois and bring the possibility of severe weather to central and southern Indiana through early morning hours (before daybreak). Temperatures will remain in the upper 60s to low 70s. Some of the storms may contain damaging winds, an isolated tornado or hail. However, that threat remains small.
Thunderstorm chances diminish for Saturday, but there is a possibility of an isolated thunderstorm during the afternoon. Highs in the mid to upper 70s.
Showers and storms return for Mother’s Day, especially in the morning. High temperatures may return to near 80 degrees, bringing the possibility of storms again during the afternoon.
Showers and storms look likely for the first half of the week, with temperatures remaining very warm (upper 70s to low 80s). Temperatures drop by midweek, with a break from the showers. Highs will likely return to the 60s with lows in the 40s. A subtle warm up is expected into the weekend.
