GRAND PRIX OF INDIANAPOLIS FORECAST: Pockets of showers and thundershowers have been mainly along and south of I-70. The system that is causing that will gradually move away from the state, so other than a pop-up thundershower in southern parts of the viewing area, most places will be dry, and I think that includes IMS.
THIS EVENING: Temperatures will stay in the 70s through the early evening, then fall into the 60s. Most places should be dry this evening.
OVERNIGHT: The next wave of unstable air will try to creep in overnight. We may see a few pop-up thunderstorms overnight, otherwise, it will be mild with lows in the upper 50s.
MOTHER’S DAY: There will be some scattered thunderstorms off and on during the day Sunday. I do not think at this time that it will be a washout, so I would not cancel outdoor plans, but I would keep an umbrellas handy. Highs will make it back to the low 80s.
8-DAY FORECAST: Another pool of colder air will move our way and arrive by mid-week. Until then, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible with the highest chance of rain for everybody coming on Tuesday. By Wednesday through Friday, highs will drop back into the 60s! Milder air may return next weekend.
