Rain and Some Storms Returning TodayMay 13th, 2014 at 5:08 am by Ken Brewer under Weather
THIS MORNING: The bulk of the rain will hold of for the morning commute. Temperatures will be warm for the bus stop and the morning commute. Western parts of the area may see some pockets of rain before 9am.
REST OF TODAY: Rain chances will gradually increase, and we will see off and on showers and a few thunderstorms. Most storms today should not be severe, however, some places could have some minor flooding in places that have some heavy downpours. The biggest concerns would be in central and northern Indiana. These locations are still soaked from rain over the weekend. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s.
THIS EVENING: Rain chances will continue, so keep the umbrella handy. It will feel warm and humid in the places that do not have rain.
OVERNIGHT: The chances of rain will continue as a cold front will approach the state. Lows will drop into the 50s.
WEDNESDAY: The slow-moving cold front will continue to pass through the state. There will be enough energy to perhaps produce a few strong storms in SE Indiana. The colder air moving in will drop high temperatures into the low 60s.
8-DAY FORECAST: Cooler air will linger through the weekend! Highs will stay in the 60s. Rain chances will stick around through Friday as a pool of colder air will create some scattered showers. Highs will return back to the 70s by next week.
