Scattered showers, thunderstorms continueMay 14th, 2014 at 11:35 am by Pamela Gardner under Weather
Keep that umbrella with you. Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to dominate our forecast today. The southeastern corner of the state has a slight risk for severe storms. Damaging wind, large hail, and a tornado are all threats along with very heavy rain that could lead to localized flooding.
Temperatures are much cooler in the 50s right now, and we may only gain a few degrees later on. Tonight’s temps remain pretty steady in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Thursday and Friday our highs only reach the upper 50s again.
Our rain threat remains through Thursday and even Friday, but there should be some breaks in the rain on those days. Once the weekend rolls around we dry out and warm up. Highs both days will be in the low to mid 60s. Next week we return to the 70s and 80s.
