Chilly, Pockets of Light Showers TodayMay 17th, 2014 at 7:07 am by Ken Brewer under Weather
TODAY: There are a lot of outdoor activities going on across central Indiana today. The best advice for all is to bundle up and keep an umbrella handy. Overall, rain chances will be lower than Friday, but it will still be chilly. Highs will only reach the mid to upper 50s in most places.
INDY 11 / EVENING FORECAST: As the daytime heating goes away, clouds and scattered showers will go away. Cold air will move in and we will drop to the low 50s for most of the evening.
PATCHY FROST TONIGHT: With clear skies, cold air, and light wind, there will be areas of frost. If you have sensitive plants, you want to protect those tonight.
BETTER SUNDAY: Expect more sunshine and milder air. Highs will reach the mid to upper 60s!
8-DAY FORECAST: Dry, warmer weather will arrive through Tuesday. Highs will climb into the 70s and approach 80 degrees. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will return Wednesday through Friday. The weekend looks to be ok temperature wise, but there may be a chance of scattered showers and storms. Models are not in agreement on this, so the forecast will need to be updated as more information comes in.
