A Stormy DayJune 4th, 2014 at 6:08 am by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Thunderstorms are moving through the western half of Indiana. We don’t have any storm watches or warnings at this time. The storms are bringing flooding rains, lots of lightning, gusty wind and small hail as they move east around 25 mph. Flash flood warnings have been posted for Vigo, Clay, Owen and Putnam counties for this morning due to that heavy rainfall. Forecast 8 Futurecast shows another line of storms pushing through by 11am.
This afternoon and evening we have a slight risk for the southeastern corner of the state. Forecast 8 Futurecast has the storms popping in southern Indiana by 4pm. These storms could produce damaging wind, large hail, and even a tornado.
Temperatures are in the 60s and lower 70s. Today’s highs will depend on how much sunshine you see. Some places will be in the lower 70s, others in the lower 80s. Tonight we cool off into the upper 50s.
Dry weather takes over for the next few days. Temperatures will be around that 80º mark. Sunday will bring us our next chance for thunderstorms.
