The Heat BuildsJune 16th, 2014 at 6:05 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Overview: Current temps are in the 80s for most…and it’s only going to get hotter from there. Temps get well above our average high and low for this time of the year. VIPIR has an isolated t-shower north of Richmond, moving east. There is a chance for more pop up storms this evening. Wet weather returns later in the week.
Tonight: We can’t rule out a chance for showers and an isolated thunderstorm this evening. Most pop ups will be located south of I-70 and will die out by night time. We will clear out and will be left with partly cloudy conditions by daybreak. It will drop down to the lower 70s.
Tuesday: Tuesday marks the first day of the 2014 year with temperatures reaching 90 degrees or above for much of Indiana. It’s going to feel hot and summer-like. There will be mostly sunny skies. The average amount of days for June to have above 90 degree temperatures is 2.7 days.
Remainder of Week:
The rest of the week will be hotter than previous weeks this month. High temperatures reach the lower 90s and upper 80s. Wet weather returns. Humidity will be quite high through Thursday and Friday and thunderstorm chances move back into our area.
