Risk for Severe Storms Late Today / Tonight

June 30th, 2014 at 5:34 am by under Weather

TODAY:  A storm system will approach the state of Indiana today and tonight, and that could bring some strong thunderstorms along with it.  Most of the daytime hours will be okay, so morning and early afternoon plans should be okay.  Late afternoon and the evening will see the development of scattered thunderstorms from west to east.  Temperatures before then will be warm and humid in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees!

THIS EVENING / OVERNIGHT:  This is where the weather could get dicey.  A line of storms is expected to develop to our west and move our way.  Some of these could contain damaging wind, large hail and some isolated tornadoes.

8-DAY FORECAST…NICE FOR THE 4TH?  The weather will finally settle down by Thursday, and the cooler and drier air will last through the 4th and even Saturday.  Warmer weather will return by next week.
