Cooler, Drier Days Ahead

July 2nd, 2014 at 5:39 pm by under Weather

Overview: We’ve had several days of rain, thunderstorms, and humidity. Pop up showers are still not out of the question for tonight; however, things are lightening up the next few days! The 4th of July long weekend is going to be quite nice and comfortable.

Tonight: There is a chance for pop up showers tonight. Our futurecast model is showing some spotty rain showers late tonight. There will be partly cloudy skies with low temperatures reaching the upper 50s.

Indianapolis specifically is not expecting any rain showers in the early morning as many head for work on the 3rd, but other parts of the state are- see 5:30 a.m. image.

Tomorrow: Temperatures have taken a turn for the cooler. Expect clouds to thin out, and it should make for a great afternoon, as we will have high temperatures in the lower to mid 70s with low humidity.

4th of July: Friday, the 4th is looking to be just as nice as the 3rd. There will be dry, mostly sunny skies , and comfortable temperatures. The high temperature is expected to reach into the upper 70s.  Some may consider a very light jacket for the firework shows since temperatures are going to be in the 60s!

Rest of the Week: Saturday will be our last day of dry, mostly sunny weather. Sunday through Wednesday picks back up the heat to the mid to upper 80s with scattered thunderstorms. After the several days of thunderstorms, we will see another dry day next Thursday.

Enjoy this weekend!
