Tracking The Severe Threat For MondayJuly 6th, 2014 at 7:04 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
We are dry this afternoon with warm weather and higher humidity. Temps are in the lower 80s for everyone. This evening remains dry with temps staying warm. Tonight’s lows dip into the upper 60s and rain chances move in after midnight.
High temps will be just as warm on Monday, reaching the mid to upper 80s. Humidity is expected to be high again Monday too.
We have two cold fronts moving in…one arrives on Monday. Another one moves through on Tuesday. This means that overnight tonight we could get a few strong storms. On Monday afternoon we have a chance for storms that could turn severe. Then rain continues in the forecast for Tuesday too.
Strong storms are possible overnight. There is a slight risk for severe weather on Monday afternoon for all of central Indiana. Damaging wind and large hail will be the main threats. By Tuesday the severe storm threat moves into only southern Indiana.
By Wednesday, we get less humid, cooler and drier. The pleasant weather continues through Friday.
