Severe Storms For SundayJuly 12th, 2014 at 7:12 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Temperatures are in the upper 70s and lower 80s with high humidity. Tonight we keep the forecast mainly dry, other than a stray shower. Lows dip into the lower 70s with a partly cloudy sky.
We have a slight risk for severe storms Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening. We have a couple rounds of storms according to Forecast 8 Futurecast. One round moves into northern Indiana around daybreak. This is what is left over from a complex of our storms to our west now. We don’t expect the storms to be severe by the time they move into Indiana. Additional pop up storms and showers are likely in the heat of the afternoon Sunday. These storms could produce damaging wind, large hail, localized flooding and a brief tornado.
Highs for Sunday will be in the mid to upper 80s with more humidity. Temps stay warm on Monday with a chance for severe storms in southern Indiana that day. A major cool-down takes over for next week starting on Tuesday. Highs will be in the lower 70s and lows will be in the lower 50s. Dry weather continues for much of next week too.
