Scattered Storms for Monday

July 13th, 2014 at 4:05 pm by under Colts Forecast, Weather

Overview: Today we have had some pop up showers and thunderstorms. Conditions remain favorable Monday for storms, yet again. After Monday however, we take a nice break from the thunderstorms and warm temperatures for awhile.

Tonight & Early Morning: This evening will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. As we lose our daytime heat overnight, we lose our thunderstorms. The remainder of the overnight hours after the thunderstorms have come and gone will prove to be mostly cloudy. Although, southern Indiana could see some isolated showers.  Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s.  As many are getting ready for work during daybreak, there is a chance for showers and thunderstorms.

Tomorrow: Monday will be similar to Sunday with pop up scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening due to another cold front. High temperatures on Monday will reach the lower 80s with mostly cloudy skies. Monday’s weather will be seasonable in fashion, but the remainder of the week will not.

Rest of Week: After Monday, weather conditions take an unseasonal turn.  Cold air is being brought down from the north giving Tuesday and Wednesday highs in the lower 70s. The rest of the week remains dry, partly cloudy, comfortable, and cooler. Temperatures slowly climb into the lower 80s by the weekend.  Our 8 day forecast isn’t even showing rain and thunderstorms until NEXT Monday!
