Tracking Rain and Storms This Morning, Strong Storms Later?

TODAY: Areas south of I-70 are seeing steady rain along with thunderstorms with heavy downpours.  Areas to the north are seeing quiet weather.  That will be the morning pattern. The afternoon pattern will see scattered thunderstorm chances for all locations, with some of those possibly reaching severe limits.  Damaging wind will be the biggest threat.

THIS EVENING:  The early evening will feature the chance of strong thunderstorms.  By late evening, the weather should quiet down.

OVERNIGHT:  The transition to near-record cool temperatures will begin tonight.  Lows will drop into the mid 50s.


TUESDAY:  Spring, or fall-like temperatures will arrive in central Indiana. Highs will struggle to reach the low to mid 70s.  That could approach record coldest high temperatures for the date which is 70 set in 1987.

8-DAY FORECAST: Pleasant temps will last most of the week.  We could see a chance of rain again on Friday.
