Partly Cloudy, Warm DayJuly 25th, 2014 at 3:35 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
The title says it all. Today will be partly cloudy with high temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds are coming from the south/southwest bringing in warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico.
Indiana is pretty clear right now. A large thunderstorm system is moving through Illinois heading east, southeast. The evening hours should calm the system down as it moves southeast and runs into drier air. Radar reflectivity shows some light rain already in some of the western parts of Indiana. The rain in this area isn’t necessarily hitting the ground. It’s dry with maybe a few sprinkles. Late tonight and early morning we have a chance for isolated thunderstorms.
Enjoy today’s drier and cooler feel because Saturday and Sunday pick up the heat a little bit as we reach the mid and upper 80s. This also brings along with it the summer thunderstorms. There is a slight risk of severe weather for Indiana tomorrow and Sunday. The Forecast 8 Team will keep you posted.
