Brickyard 400 ForecastJuly 26th, 2014 at 8:52 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Right now: Central Indiana has a cluster of thunderstorms that continue to push eastward. By midnight, the storms and most of the showers will be out of here. Until then, expect an isolated severe storm, heavy rain, damaging wind, lightning, and small hail. We have a t-storm watch until 2am for some counties still. The western counties have been dropped. We have a flash flood watch until 8am Sunday.
Tonight: Temps have cooled into the 70s for most. Overnight low in Indy will be in the lower 70s. An isolated storm or shower is possible overnight.
Brickyard 400: The early half of the day is dry. After noon we could see pop up storms and showers. There should be enough dry opportunities to get the race in. Keep an eye on radar because any storm that pops could turn severe.
Here is Forecast 8 Futurecast for close to the start of the race and another image for late in the afternoon.
Extended forecast: Cooler temperatures take over again for Monday after isolated showers with highs in the lower 70s. Temps stay in the 70s for much of next week.
