An unsettled pattern will take hold this week, with chances for rain and storms just about every day during the 8-day. Temperatures will remain mild throughout the region as afternoon highs will be in the low to mid 80s through the weekend, with temps warming into the mid-80s by next week.
A few of today’s isolated showers are currently on Forecast 8 StormTracker, however those should not last very long after the sun goes down this evening.
Partly cloudy skies will be around tonight along with mild temperatures as temperatures are expected only to cool down to 66. Some very isolated showers may be around early this evening, but any lingering showers should quickly dissipate after sunset.
Isolated storms will be around during the afternoon hours of Wednesday, but like most days this week they will fall apart as the sun goes down. Expect afternoon highs to rise to around 80 here in the city.
Thursday brings us our best shot of rain, as a larger storm system will move across the state starting in the morning our. Continued rains and some embedded thunderstorms are likely throughout the day on Thursday. The rain should be done by the evening hours, and we should expect to see a high of 77.
Friday & Saturday:
Scattered storms remain in the forecast as we enter the weekend. The risk of afternoon storms exists for both Friday and Saturday with temperatures near 80 on Friday and 83 on Saturday.
A break in the action should occur on Sunday as partly cloudy skies are forecasted. Expect a warm afternoon high near 85 to end your weekend.
Early Next Week:
Scattered storms return early next week as our pattern of afternoon storms will continue. Expect temperatures to stay in the upper 80s Monday and Tuesday before a cool down Wednesday, which should also bring drier conditions back to the forecast.
