Hot and humid weekend, more heavy rain possibleAugust 22nd, 2014 at 6:48 pm by Robb Ellis under Colts Forecast, Weather
With heat and humidity remaining in the forecast for the weekend, additional slow-moving storms may lead to additional flooding, though not necessarily in the same locations as Friday morning.
Scattered showers and storms possible, especially in southern Indiana. Lows around 70 degrees.
High temperatures are forecast to get very close to 90 degrees. If IND hits 90 it will be the first occurrence so far in 2014. Humidity will remain high and mostly cloudy skies may give way to scattered showers and storms during Saturday afternoon. Lows will remain in the low 70s.
Additional rain is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning. A line of showers may set up in western parts of the state, leading to potential flooding. However, exactly where the showers set up will determine who will see the heaviest rain, and is still uncertain.
Isolated showers still possible, as high temperatures reach the low 90s. Lows in the low 70s.
Monday and Tuesday:
Partly cloudy, warm and humid. highs near 90. Lows near 70.
Wednesday through the weekend:
A chance for scattered showers on Wednesday will finally usher in a cool-down and bring temperatures closer to normal, and perhaps below normal through the weekend.
