Eve. Storms, Isolated Storms Overnight

August 23rd, 2014 at 5:28 pm by under Weather

THIS EVENING: If you are heading to the Colts games or Symphony on the Prairie, watch for lightning and some heavy downpours.  There may be a delay at the Symphony on the Prairie, but by 8pm, storms should be out of the metro area, and in SE Indiana.  Most places could see 0.50″ to 1″ of rain from these tropical downpours.  There will be a break after this wave passes this evening.

OVERNIGHT:  There could be another complex of scattered thunderstorms overnight into Sunday morning.  Lightning and heavy downpours would be the biggest threats.  Other places may see fog overnight once again.

SUNDAY:  Expect more of the same weather for Sunday, plenty of humidity, with scattered thunderstorms with lightning, and heavy tropical downpours.  Highs will reach the upper 80s to near 90°.

8-DAY FORECAST:  Heat, humidity, and storm chances will continue through most of the week, though temps will cool down towards the end of the week.  Next weekend looks to be much cooler than this weekend.
