Hot, Humid, Pop Up StormsAugust 27th, 2014 at 5:34 am by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Temperatures are in the 60s and lower 70s this morning and we are all dry. As the sun heats us up this afternoon, expect those typical pop up thunderstorms. Any storm that develops could produce damaging wind, small hail, heavy rain and lightning. Isolated severe storms are possible. High temps will be in the upper 80s with high humidity.
Tonight will be mainly dry, other than whats left over from the evening pop up storms. Lows reach the 50s and lower 60s. Thursday’s forecast is also very warm, humid and there is another chance for pop up storms in the afternoon and evening.
Daily pop up storms remain in the forecast through early next week. As we continue this active pattern, don’t cancel outdoor plans but keep your radar handy on your mobile device. Temperatures stay very warm and we keep the humidity. Summer has arrived late this season and it is here to stay for a while.
