An unusual campaign season gave way to an Election day that appears normal.
County Clerk Beth White has problems to deal with but no catastrophe in sight. Turnout guesses at this stage are always based on anecdotal evidence but that evidence suggests routine participation for a municipal election.
Voter anger over taxes and crime may still be a big story but they didn’t cause taxpayers to storm polling places.
