You may have noticed I missed a prediction. Most years I would settle for 5 out of 6, but I could have done better this time.

Meantime, irony abounds in the outcome of the 2007 election. Just one of the ironies is the fact that, while Republican winner Greg Ballard got little support from the GOP organization, he was inspired to run by the Stan Huseland biography of former county chairman Keith Bulen, the ultimate organization guy.
