Mid-Week Forecast

After a few showers and storms Tuesday evening, it will be clear overnight.  Forecast lows are in the 60s.  It won’t be as hot or as  humid on Wednesday, but highs will still be in the upper 80s and lower 90s.  Higher heat and higher humidity build later this week.  High temperatures will be in the lower and middle 90s Thursday – Sunday.  There are storm chances Friday – Sunday.  The early look shows the best chance for rain on Sunday, but stay tuned for timing of the weekend rain chances.


Another Warning

There is a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Bartholomew and southwestern Decatur counties until 8:15.  Watch for large hail and damaging winds.

    


New Warning

A severe thunderstorm warning is now in effect until 8:00pm for northern Bartholomew, southeastern Brown, southern Johnson and southwestern Shelby counties.  This storm may contain damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain.  The storm is moving toward, Princes Lakes, Edinburgh and Taylorsville.

It will be a mostly sunny day at Colts Camp in Anderson on Wednesday.  Temperatures will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s during the afternoon hours.


Still A Few Storms

There is a broken line of storms south of Indianapolis right now.  It stretches from near Columbus to southern Johnson county to east of Martinsville and northwest to Cloverdale.  These storms are moving toward Westport, Edinburgh and maybe Ellettsville.  The severe thunderstorm watch for southwestern Indiana continues until 8pm.

 


Scattered Storms

Scattered storms continue to develop across central Indiana.  The strongest cell is moving south of Bloomfield in Greene county and out of our area into southwestern Indiana.  There is also heavy rain and some lightning from just south of Bloomington to Bedford and more rain near Clay City.  There is another storm northwest of Indianapolis and another moving out of Hamilton county toward Anderson.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 5:15 for southern Clay, southern Owen, southern Monroe, most of Greene and northwestern Lawrence counties.  The severe storm is near Clay City, south to Bloomfield and moving toward Bedford.

    


Tracking A Few Storms

There are a few storms across western Indiana right now.  There is 1 west of Lafayette and another east of Terre Haute near Brazil and Clay City.  This cell is moving toward Greene County in southwestern Indiana.  A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 8pm for western Indiana.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 8pm for western Indiana.  This includes Lafayette, Terre Haute, Crawfordsville, Martinsville and Bloomington.  There is just one storm near Champaign, Illinois right now.

    


More 90º Heat – Storm Chances Too

It will be partly cloudy, warm and muggy overnight.  Low temperatures will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.  The Tuesday forecast is hot and humid, with highs in the 90s.  There is a chance for a few showers and storms.  This weather system will move south for Wednesday and it won’t be as hot or as humid.  Highs on Wednesday will be 85-90 degrees.  More heat and humidity are back for the end of the week and the weekend.  Storm chances return Friday – Sunday.
