Rain continues and it will soon include most of the viewing area. Heavier rain is still west and south of Indy, but that may change over the next hour or 2.

Soggy for Some Again

BUS STOP THIS MORNING: A conveyor belt of rain has formed in the western half of the state. The rain is rotating from south to north, so these areas will see significant doses of rain. Areas east of Indy may be okay at the bus stop this morning.

REST OF TODAY: Like a broken record, an upper-level low is stalled out to our west. It is sending waves of rain, and so far most of that rain has been in western parts of the viewing area. That looks to stay the same for the most part today. Western Indiana will see the brunt of the rain again today. Highs will hit the low to mid 50’s.

TONIGHT: Not much change to the pattern. Some areas will still see rain, others will be drier. Lows will dip into the low 40’s.

WEDNESDAY: More of the same, though the core of the rain may slide a bit east. The nature of these systems is that there are pockets of steady, heavy rain, then there are dry slots in other spots. Figuring out where those set up is difficult. So bottom line…take rain gear and hope you see a dry slot. Highs will struggle to hit the lower 50’s.

Rain continues to fall mainly north and west of Indianapolis. Rainfall totals will continue to slowly build in those locations. Additional rain will try to move into the state later today, so we will keep an eye on it for you throughout the day.

Rain for Some Today

THIS MORNING: If you are west or north of Indy, you will see some light rain showers and sprinkles this morning, if you live east and south, you will see drier weather this morning.

REST OF TODAY: An upper-level storm system will continue to send moisture our direction. Most of the rain today will fall in western and northern parts of the area, but there could be a few stray showers in other places as well.

TONIGHT: Lows tonight will drop into the mid 40’s, and scattered showers will continue across the area.

TUESDAY: More of the same, in fact, maybe even more rain coverage by later in the day. Highs will again hit the mid 40’s.

Mid-Morning Weather Update

RAIN: Most of the sprinkles or light rain showers are still in central Illinois, but they are moving NE and should miss most of the viewing area for most of the day. A few stray showers may reach us by this evening, but they will be very light, and few in number.

TEMPERATURES: We have hit low to mid 50’s in most places. Should top out near 60° in most of the metro area, and maybe some mid 60’s again in southern Indiana with some sun.

Chance of Rain Today?

TODAY: A weather system will stall out across the state today. Right now, it looks like most of the rain will stay north and west of us, so outdoor activities during the day should be okay. Highs will not be quite as warm as yesterday, but they should still hit the low 60’s.

COLTS GAME TONIGHT: Rain will inch closer to the state. I think we may hold most of the rain off, but I can’t completely rule out a chance of light showers from time to time. Temperatures should stay in the 50’s.

MONDAY: The core of the upper-level weather system will get closer to us, so rain chances will go up Monday, and stay high through Wednesday. It might be a good idea to give the kids rain gear at the bus stop tomorrow morning.

Great Start to the Weekend

THIS MORNING: If you are heading out this morning, expect a mixture of sun and clouds, and mild temperatures.

REST OF TODAY: An approaching cold front will mean a gradual increase in clouds across the state, but it should stay dry today with mild highs in the mid 60’s.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Purdue has a game at noon, and the weather looks nice. Temperatures should get into the 60’s with partly cloudy skies.

TONIGHT: Expect clouds to thicken, and that will help keep temperatures mild. Lows will drop into the upper 40’s to lower 50’s.

SUNDAY: A cold front arrives in the state, then promptly stalls out on top of us. More moisture will move into the region, but most of it will stya to our north. I think the day will be mainly dry, with some light spotty showers possible by evening.

COLTS FORECAST: There is a slight chance of showers tomorrow night. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 50’s.

Sunny, Cool Today

BUS STOP THIS MORNING: It will be much cooler than the past several mornings for the kids. Temperatures will be in the low 40’s in most locations.

REST OF VETERAN’S DAY: Sunshine will stick around, but cooler air has moved into the state behind the cold front that passed through yesterday. Highs will still be above normal for this date, but not as balmy as past days. Expect highs in the upper 50’s.

TONIGHT: Skies will stay clear and overnight lows will be a bit cooler, and dip into the mid 30’s in most places.

THURSDAY: Nice weather will continue, highs will be a bit warmer, as highs should get back to the low 60’s!

Temperatures Coming Down This Afternoon

The colder air is finally pushing i to central Indiana, and temperatures are tumbling a bit as a result. Expect to see numbers in the 50’s for most of the afternoon.

Some Reduced Visibility

There are pockets of reduced visibility and fog across central Indiana. Most visibility numbers are above 2 miles, but watch for soupy conditions in places.
