Early Afternoon Weather Update

A line of rain and storms continues to creep towards us from the south. Most of the thunderstorms are along or just north of the Ohio River. Expect some rumbles of thunder and perhaps a strong storm or 2 in eastern and southeastern parts of the viewing area over the next several hours. We are tracking the storms and will keep you posted.

Foggy Start in Places This Morning

Patchy Dense Fog has formed mainly in eastern and southeastern Indiana. There are some delays to schools. Check School Watch on WISH-TV and MyIndy-Tv or here on the website.

Scattered Storms Southwest

Scattered storms are forming SW of Indianapolis. These are not severe, but they are starting to produce lightning and some heavy downpours. We will track the storms and let you know if they get stronger here in the near future.

Rain Continues to Push Out

Light to moderate rain continues to gradually exit the viewing area from NW to SE. Rainfall totals have been light at reporting stations with most locations around .10″ or less, but there are some pockets that may have a bit more.

Rain Winding Down

Western Indiana is seeing the rain come to an end. Pockets of rain will end in the metro area by 10:00-ish, and after midnight south and southeast.

Dry Monday, Soggy After

THIS EVENING: Scattered showers will linger, so keep the umbrella handy. Temperatures will tumble a bit into the 40’s. Rain will be fairly light in most places, though a stray lightning strike isn’t out of the question.

TONIGHT: The weak weather system will pass through overnight, and rain should wind down as it passes through. Lows will dip into the mid 30’s.

MONDAY: A dry day as sun will mix with clouds. Milder air will return and highs will push back into the mid 50’s.

TUESDAY: A storm system from the SW will ride into the state by late in the day. Rain chances will return. The system will stall out and give us additional rain chances through mid-week.

Most of the scattered rain is west of Indianapolis, but it is moving into the metro area. Expect scattered showers for most of the evening.

Mid-Morning Weather Update

RAIN: Most of the reports coming out of Illinois have had light rain, and it is scattered in nature, but it is moving our way, so by early afternoon, some areas could see scattered showers. Keep the umbrella handy as you head out this afternoon.

TEMPERATURES: Almost all sites have warmed into the low to mid 30’s, so upper 40’s to around 50° temperatures look good for this afternoon before scattered showers arrive.

Scattered Showers Later Today

TODAY: A fast moving rain-maker will roll into the state today and give us some scattered showers by afternoon and evening. If you want to stay dry outdoors, I would get activities done by noon-time. Highs should approach 50°.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers will gradually wind down. Lows will stay mild, and only drop into the mid 30’s.

MONDAY: Should be the last dry day for awhile. High pressure will briefly build in and give us a decent amount of sunshine. Highs should be a bit warmer in the low to mid 50’s.

TUESDAY AND BEYOND: Unsettled weather pattern and a parade of rain-makers will ride through the Midwest. The result will be chances of rain each day Tuesday – Sunday!

Midday Weather Update

TEMPERATURES: Numbers are in the low to mid 30’s at this noon hour as some cloud cover has kept numbers down just a bit.

WHAT’S IN STORE THIS AFTERNOON: The cloud deck is breaking from north to south, so as sunshine develops, we should see numbers warm into the 40’s again.
