Hopefully, everyone is getting back to normal with the blast of winter weather we’ve had the past several days.
You may or may not know that our Community theme for 2009 is “Hoosiers Helping Hoosiers.” We’re already engaged, but we need more help.
If you know of a need in our community where we can make a difference, please weigh in. If you know of a person or group MAKING a difference helping others, please weigh in.
We’ll have a lot more on this in the coming days, but I wanted to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.
Thanks for your help!
Rough morning today getting downtown. I couldn’t help but notice how folks were pitching in to help each other out, showing a real sense of community, and how some acted like it was any other rush hour morning, passing other cars, totally disregarding the safety of others.
I guess there’s always one… but I’m encouraged about the others that outnumber that “one.”
Lots of good things coming up
Now that Tony Dungy has retired, an important voice in our community goes with him.
Hopefully, his absence won’t leave a void. Hopefully, all his good works have been building blocks.
We’ll soon find out which it will be.
Feel free to share your thoughts, insight, and/or perscpectives from a community standpoint.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I’ll try to check in from time to time to see what’s going on.
Be safe!
How nice it is to be back again. We’re still working out a few bugs here and there, but for the most part, I think we’re good this time.
On Sunday, we were at the Colts game collecting for our WISH-Tree Toy Drive for the Salvation Army.
As we’ve done this over the years, the generosity of Hoosiers never ceases to amaze me. Even in this difficult economic climate, people still dig deep to help others less fortunate. First and foremost, THANK-YOU to all who helped in one way or another.
If you know of any other ongoing efforts, large or small, please let us know.
Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving weekend!
Hello All!
It’s been awhile since we’ve been online and I’m happy to say that as part of our new website design, we now have “blog-ability,” which is great!
As we head into this Thanksgiving Week and weekend, we’re reminded each day that there are others less fortunate who need help, so let’s all pitch in as a community and do what we can.
If you come across any special efforts or volunteer opportunities, please let us know!
