I have always wanted to go to GenCon. And this year, living just blocks from the Indiana Convention Center, I had my chance!
And it was a blast!
As I’ve mentioned in my previous blog, I’m a complete geek, and make no apologies for it. Here are a few pictures from GenCon.
I didn’t get to spend as much time as I would have liked (I do work after all!) but I managed to pick up a few games from the exhibitor hall.
One of the biggest draws is Dungeons and Dragons, which I love. They had a huge play area, including a great Lolth statue in the center of the Play area.
But perhaps my favorite thing was making my own scalemail armor. It’s not as hard as I first thought, but it is time consuming. I found it very relaxing, but others found it frustrating lining up all the rings just right. BUt when you are done, it makes a great look. And here’s the final product!
This year over 49,000 people visited GenCon, which was a new record! And if that’s not enough, here are some more pictures from GenCon. I’ll definitely be going to Gen Con next year, and I’ll make sure I plan some time off when it’s here, because I can’t wait to play a few more games and meet some fun and interesting people!
