Snow Showers and Flurries Winding Down for Now

Most of the morning snow show and flurry activity has settled down for now, some additional flurries could pop-up again this afternoon. Temperatures should stay steady in the mid 30’s.

One More Chilly Day

TODAY: The jet stream is still well to our south, so the flow of cold Canadian air continues for one more day. Highs today should be warmer then the upper 20’s we saw on Monday, but still below normal for this date. We should make it into the mid 30’s in most places, which is still about 10 degrees below normal.

TONIGHT: Milder air will slowly creep in and overnight lows will be slightly milder.

WEDNESDAY: Finally, near-normal temperatures! Warmer southerly winds at the low levels of the atmosphere combined with the jet stream moving back north will add up to near-normal temperatures.

THURSDAY: Balmy air will arrive, and highs will get into the mid to upper 50’s. With a strong southerly flow, and more moisture arriving, we may see a stray shower or 2.

Mid-Morning Update

The chill continues this morning, as numbers struggle in the mid teens. The colder air will keep a grip on the afternoon weather, and highs will struggle to hit 30.

Another Cold Day!

TODAY: After starting off in the lower teens…highs will struggle to hit 30 in most locations. At least we will see decent sunshine across most of the state. Winds will be a bit lighter than what we saw this past weekend.

TONIGHT: Another cold night is in store, with lows again dropping into the low to mid teens.

TUESDAY: The cold air will start to slide off to our east, and temperatures will start to recover a bit. Highs will improve into the mid to upper 30’s which will still be about 10 degrees below normal.

WEDNESDAY: The warming trend will continue. Highs will reach near-normal values in the mid 40’s.

Colder Weather Continues Today

TODAY: Chilly air from Canada will continue to move into the state today. This will keep highs around 30, then drop a bit late in the afternoon. We should see plenty of sunshine in spite of the chill air.

MONDAY: The core of the cold air will be in place, so highs again will only hit the upper 20’s to around 30. We should see decent sunshine, and the winds will be lighter.

TUESDAY: The cold air will slowly start to move away, but we will still see a chilly Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 30’s.

Mid-Morning Weather Update

Temperatures have cooled off quite a bit in the past several hours. I am beginning to wonder if we will make it back into the mid 30’s for this afternoon. I think as the cloud deck thins a bit, we should rebound, so I will keep the forecast highs the same.

Chilly Weekend!

TODAY: 2 storm systems, one to our south, and an upper-level system to our west will both pass us by without precipitation, but both will have an impact on our weekend weather. The systems will help bring in colder air from Canada and keep highs well below normal. Today, highs should hit the mid 30’s.

THIS EVENING: Bundle up if you are heading out this evening. Temperatures will fall into the mid 20’s, but the wind will make it feel like the lower teens!.

SUNDAY: The core of the colder air will arrive during the day tomorrow, so that will cool down temperatures a few degrees more. Highs should only hit the upper 20’s to around 30. The good news is that we should see some more sunshine.

Mid-Morning Weather Update

Temperatures have rebounded a bit with the morning sunrise. However, it still remains chilly. Most places are in the mid to upper teens.

Windy, Chilly Sunday

TODAY: The core of the latest round of chilly air has settled into the state. This will bring the winter-like wind and cool air. Highs will only hit the mid 20’s in most places, but winds howling at around 25 miles per hour will make it feel like the teens. We could see some lingering flurries or a few light snow showers from time to time.

MONDAY: Weather will slowly improve starting on Monday as the core of the cold air will slowly start to exit the region. Highs will still be below normal in the upper 20’s to lower 30’s.

TUESDAY: Warmer air will continue to spill in and highs should get close to 40 in many spots. The upper-level system with the core of cold air will slide over to the east coast.

One More Mild Day…

TODAY: A storm system is slowly working through the Midwest, and will spit out some pockets of rain and maybe even a rumble of thunder from time to time. Temperatures will stay mild for one last day, with highs in the mid 40’s. Keep the umbrella handy, but we won’t see an all-day rain or storm event.

TONIGHT: The front will pass through and bitter cold air will arrive overnight. Leftover moisture will convert to snow showers and flurries. Any accumulation should be under 1″. Temperatures will drop into the teens for lows.

THURSDAY: Colder air and flurries will set up shop, and highs will struggle to hit the low to mid 20’s.
