Dense Fog Advisory Until 9:00am
DENSE FOG THIS MORNING: In the aftermath of last night’s rain, moisture, calm winds have allowed for dense fog to form. Visibility will be near zero in many locations in the metro area, so allow some extra time for the commute this morning.
STRAY STORMS RETURN THIS AFTERNOON? Even though a cold front technically passed through the state last night, we won’t see the full benefits of the front. In fact temperatures may be a bit warmer today that yesterday. In addition, there will be enough instability to fire off a thunderstorm or two.
INDIANS GAME, PLAYING TWO? The game got rained out last night, so they will play two out at Victory Field. The weather overall should be more cooperative today. First pitch is at Noon.
TONIGHT: Should be a quiet night, lows will only dip into the mid 60’s.
THURSDAY…HEAT IS: If you were wondering where the heat has gone to, well, it will arrive in force Thursday. A core of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will build into the region. This compresses the air and heats it up. Highs will hit the upper 80’s to around 90.
The cold front that we mentioned earlier will lift back to the north as a wram front. With plenty of moisture still lingering, the front will be the focal point of some thunderstorms, and with the front will come enough instability for some severe storms to possibly form.
