Most organized precipitation has briefly ended with a few exceptions.

We will see some drizzle or freezing drizzle from time to time, and as temperatures slowly fall, untreated roads could freeze up, so keep that in mind if you are heading out in the next 3-6 hours.

However, some freezing rain is still ongoing.  We should see a changeover to all rain later this evening.  Roads will be dicey for at least a few more hours before temperatures are warm enough to melt ice away on untreated roads.  Here are the latest VIPIR images.

But better news in on the way…  Freezing rain continues to fill in from the west, but temperatures continue to slowly climb to and above the freezing mark.  So the bottom line…things will be icy for several more hours before most ice should begin melting after 9 pm.
