Jonathan Swain will be the Obama for America communications director in Indiana starting next week.

Swain is an interesting choice because he has media relations experience in both Indiana and Washington, yet he was on the other side in the Democratic nomination fight.

Swain served in a similar capacity for the Hillary Clinton campaign during the May primary.  Then, he was on leave from Senator Evan Bayh’s staff. 

Now, he is leaving Bayh’s employ to help Barack Obama with the Senator’s blessing.

How much does Evan Bayh want Hillary Clinton to win Indiana?         
Enough that his Senate Communications Director is now a full-time employee of the Clinton campaign.  Jonathan Swain took a leave of absence from the Senate staff to work in the Indianapolis office of the Clinton campaign (soon to open downtown.)                                 
Swain goes back to the Bayh staff the day after the May 6th Indiana Primary.
